Harassed At Work? What To Do?

We understand the struggles that sex offenders face on a daily basis. Having served your time, you simply just want to live your life peacefully, free from drama.

Sex offenders, like all individuals, have the right to be free from harassment and physical harm.

Here’s what to do if someone is harassing you at work.

Step 01:

First, try to keep your cool. No matter how someone acts, never stoop to their level. Always be the bigger person. Immediately report it to your manager or whoever is in charge. If they choose to ignore it, use your phone to document the harassment by writing down the date, time, what was said, and what they’ve done.

Step 02:

If possible, video record them harassing you. If you’re unable to do so for whatever reason, and you have a friend at work, you can have your friend record them. If you don’t have a friend at your workplace, you can ask a random co-worker if they could record the harassment for you once they witness the harassment taking place. Yes, there are still good people in this world.

Step 03:

It’s likely that other co-workers have witnessed the harassment, some of them may even be sympathetic to your situation. This will come as a huge benefit should law enforcement get involved. You will have a much stronger case against the harasser.

Step 04:

Assuming the harassment continues and you have documented several days of the incidents, get law enforcement involved. Show them the proof on your phone, and ask them what measures will take place in order to protect you from the harassment.
